Shelby 427 1965 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 This is about 98% done, figured I'd just post the shots I have and then when I get some supplies back from my modelling friend I can finally get it finished. The coins are to give the model a bit more weight. I originally planned to do it the proper Castrol livery but I think roughly 6 people in history have managed to use the kit decals successfully in this kit. More in a minute.

Jordan 191 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Really nice! Your work on the black trim is very good. I know exactly how you feel about the decals. I built the Tamiya Castrol WRC Corolla. I studied the decals for a long time and decided against them.

afx Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Very nice build. I love WRC and in particular the Safari cars. Its a shame they stopped running this event.
ZTony8 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Go ahead and try the decals! If I can manage to do the outlined Peugeot lion on the white '99 206 WRC without going insane(it was close!) you can do these bigger decals.Think of it as a learning experience and a charcter builder.
