Mr mopar Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Dose anyone make this with the words KENWORTH , looking around I see there is western star need to know who makes them.
highway Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Don't hold me to it Doug, but I think KFS may have something like that. I'm saying this without checking first, just going from my CRS memory, so it may not be 100% accurate.
highway Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Well, what do you know, my CRS didn't kick in this time!!! http://www.kitformservices.com/photoetch.html I'm not sure if what they look like, since they have only a set for Peterbilt pictured, but hopefully they are what you are looking for.
Jim B Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I used the KFS Kenworth exhaust shields on my 1980 W900 AeroDyne, and they do not say "Kenworth". They have the KW Bug on them. Here's a WIP shot of them on the W900:
Mr mopar Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Hi guys thanks I think I found them at Auslowe they have the words KENWORTH on them.
Mr mopar Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Sorry James I try to get a photo of them but will not work, go to Auslowe model truck web site go to gallery look down last row second from left ,there it is ,I believe it comes from a trans kit Nigel makes.
chuckyr Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) You can purchase them directly from Auslowe or possibly Sourkrauts Model Parts may stock them. I suggested to Nigel that he offer Western Star shields, but he kinda blew me off. I'm sure if he gets enough requests he would have them made. http://www.auslowe.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=982&category_id=42&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=27 https://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/photo.php?fbid=206866892806099&set=pb.174483366044452.-2207520000.1393000221.&type=3&theater Edited February 21, 2014 by chuckyr
chuckyr Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Ok, those are nice! For $22 they better be. Stop your complaining. That's $22 Australian which is about $19 US. You gotta pay to play!
Jim B Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I'm not complaining, just stating a fact. Auslowe makes really nice stuff, so they should be worth the price. If it was just the P/E without all the resin stuff then it probably wouldn't be worth the cost. I have a W900B in the planning stages so these might just work.
