I'm having a heck of a time getting the dash to fit in my Duster. This is after reading many threads about having problems with ti fitting ahead of time.

Here's the problem:

I have filed/sanded both the tabs on the dash, and , the slots on the door panels and it still does not want to fit right. I think I might have made a mistake when I sanded the tabs on the dash prior to painting thinking that is where the problem would be after reading about the problem in several threads, it didn't help. So now I'm stuck as to what to do, HELP! I don't want to do the dash over, please, not that!

The vents on the A/C aren't too good.

That is one kit that I have not had fit issues with Gene. I would try a different dash before paint or filing and compare. I do remember its was a tight fit as I finished one 6 months ago. if I had a dash I would send it buddy...

Oh man, I don't wanna do a new dash! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Please no! That's the most detailed dash I've ever done, first time I've ever done wood () But, I guess I will if I have to, and , it looks like I might.

Dash looks like it is mounted way to far back for sure. Put the body on and that should help you see where the dash should be mounted. Good luck

The tabs on the dash need to slide down into the slots on the door panels. Glue it as well as you can and add a bead of crazy glue where it won't be visible. Allow it to dry. Once it's dry, do a test fit. If it's too tight, file or sand the top outside (where there's no paint) of the door panels where it meets the body.
