Well, I am getting a lot done on the little Renault. Sadly, most of the little things that make a final impact, but not so much that when you walk away from the bench, it "looks" like a lot is done.

Starting on the foil, and noticed I will have to go back it with some washes again. Not sure why, but the flat black I used is turning white. It is Tamiya acrylics, using their thinner, so maybe next time I use just a little water instead.

In the backstretch now. I have not taken as many in process pictures as I intended, I just got caught up in building. :)

At any rate, I have to finish it today so if I go to the Desert Scale Classic tomorrow as planned (some chance I may not get to go) it can go.

I was wondering how to duplicate the grill emblem, and while I was asleep last night, it just came to me, "tape it dummy" so I did using Scalefinishes very fine Jammydog tape.. I had a little bleed through but that was my not so steady hands not getting the tape down good before the paint.

Renault Dauphine. Yep, over here in Europe they were everywhere! I've even ridden in the back seat of one before, there isn't much room, but still 4 doors!

Actually, the car was as comfortable as you could possibly imagine. Nice velour seat coverings and economical as heck. Typical Euro Car from the period. Economical, a family could fit in there, and small enough to get through very crowded old cities.

By the way, the car was not slow!

Interesting build.

Very cool! From what I have looked at online, it looks like a very cool little car. It also looks like could be quite fun.
