Hi guys I'm in need of a little help with a build I started in WIP. I'm building a 32 ford sedan but its skewed towards a Pro Mod type chassis. 1:25 scale.

Here's my question.

What size and where can I get the rear 4 link brackets, and what size RB rod ends and tubing should I use. I guess also chassis brackets.

Thanks in advance for your help as this will now only be my 3rd build I may be in way over my head, but what the heck if it takes me a few months and a couple hundred bucks, and turns out like junk what have I lost, not much and I hopefully will have gained a bunch of knowledge about this stuff.

P.S. if you happen to look at my build and have any suggestion or comments please speak up, that's how I'm getting most of my knowledge at this point.

Thanks

Bob

Try Futtrratraction: http://www.futurattraction.com/7.html

I offer a set too, but unfortunately am out of the 1:24/25 scale until around around May. I'm working on a new plate, and will have a new batch of them made on the new plate in greater quantities.

I have two items that would work for the rear end mounts, but nothing for the chassis side to fit a tube chassis at the moment without modifications.

An update on the Dirt Modeler 4-link brackets. I will have some sooner. In about a month.

It was my intention to put them on a new plate, but in looking closer at the plate they reside on, there are enough of them on each plate to warrant just having the original plate re-ran.

I'll have about 120ea of them in about one month, give or take.

If you're in more of a hurry, Futtratraction's parts have been very well received by a lot of modelers and will work just as well.

hope this helps.

Thanks Michael you can count me as a new customer I plan on continuing to build and will need lots of bits and pieces as I progress with this hobby, I will take a couple of plates when you get them done. I will also go on your site and look around at what other goodies you offer I think I might be able to use. I don't have a stash of stuff gathered up and I haven't learned how to plan my builds out, I have just been kinda winging it with what I have found locally, which is not much.

Thanks for you help.

Bob,

with my latest build I made some mistakes that I hope to avoid on future builds. You have to think of building this like you would a real car. Build the frame first, then hang the suspension, install the running gear, install the interior, then blow it all apart for paint.

I found that if I had assembled my engine 100% before installing it in the car my life would have been a lot easier. I'm going to be building a tool to hold my drag engines while I build them.

Another thing is parts that you will handle a lot, ie sliding the body on and off, putting tires on and off. Detail/paint them last to avoid damaging the finish. I have to re-decal my rear tires because I handled them too much. My hood will not fit because the blower hold down straps don't have enough slack in them. You will encounter problems you will have to solve but think of it this way. Each build is a learning experience. Take what you can from this build to help you with the next one.
