Chase2015 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I started this kit Monday. So far I finished the engine, painted the body, and now I'm working on the rest slowly. I've built a few nascar models before this but I didn't put much effort into them and they were AMT so the quality wasn't the greatest. However, I'm trying to really do a good job on this kit, tell me what you think of the engine so far! Thanks!
AZ Boy Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Looks good so far Chase. I did this car years ago. I don't want to hijack your thread, so if you'd like to see some pics of how I did it, just PM me. Aaron
MADmodelDOCTOR Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Great job on paint detailing! Very important. Keep it up.
Jim Whalen Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Good start to Schumacher's top fuel rail. To get a straight chassis with these Revell top fuel kits its best to deviate from the instructions and asssemble the chassis as one unit (you'll have to put the rear axle in to do this) before painting (Alcad steel or something similar will do the trick). They're really hard to get straight if you go with the instructions - I know, I found out the hard way! They're impressive when built up - a bit longer than your nascar builds though!
Chase2015 Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 Here's a oir true of the dragster! I still have a few things to finish, I've been very busy with school and baseball lately so it took me awhile. I'll try to get some more pics soon
