Joe Handley Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 I just bought a new issue Stingray III kit and would like to paint it in the MM Nassau Blue Lacquer. Has anybody had an adverse reaction with the purple pigments in the plastic bleeding through Model Master or PLasikote primers? Also which would be better to use, white or gray primer? Thanks!
Guest roadkill2525 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 I have one from when it was first issued and when I did build it I used a light yellow on top of the plastic, the paint has remained the same since it was done.
djway3474 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 If your blue is dark I doubt the purple will affect it. If you want a deeper blue use gray or black primer. White if you want a light blue. Dwayne
Joe Handley Posted December 25, 2007 Author Posted December 25, 2007 Thanks, I did pick up a can of MM white lacquer primer and a can of Nassau Blue today.
