This is for those members who post images of their 3d modeled tires and wheels.

I have made some of my own using SolidWorks 2007, that I believe may interest some of our truck guys, but. I never learned how to capture the images of the models so I could then post them as images on forums such as ours.

So if, those of you who have done this kind of thing, would be willing to walk me through it I'd be very appreciative.

I'd like to show off my creations for comment, and maybe get some reactions on my products.

Thank you, and I hope this is not against the forum rules.

So, it's on the second page now. Will no one even comment. If anyone is interested in looking at my 3d models, for a truck rim and tire, go to shapeways.com and check me out at DumpsterDaggModels. All comments welcome. Thanks guys. Maybe chiefjoseph might want to chime in if he's not too busy.

Went to Shapeways and couldn't find you. Could be that I'm an idjit, I dunno.

Does SW2007 have any kind of "screenshot" or "export window to image" function? If all else fails, (with Windows) you can do a Alt-Print Screen and it will capture a screenshot to the clipboard. Then open up MSPaint or some other image editing program and paste the screenshot into a new image.

I just found this: http://help.solidworks.com/2012/English/eDrawings/SaveAsImage.htm I would assume the 2007 version has the same functionality because it's a fairly basic feature for a modeling program.

In Solidworks you can save the screen image of your part directly as a JPEG. Do " save as" and choose JPEG instead of part. Or import a shaded view into a drawing and save as a JPEG. Now you should have your picture. Do a print preview to see how it will look before saving.

Thanks Chuck. I know, it was right in front of me and I couldn't see it. There's just some things you don't get shown how when you're self taught. I will try to get them up soon. Thanks again guys.
