Looks awesome i hope you dont mind me saying but I'd tuck the back tire down to where the wheel well sits flush with the top of the rim, but that's just my opinion I like low stuff I'm not trying to sound rude or put your build because it's awesome the way it is

hey Mike, very nice work. looks killer. I have plans on doing one of these (someday) and you are giving me some ideas. I hope you don't mind me giving you one. it may be too late to suggest but here goes;

I like my builds with fat tires in the rear and sitting low.I am planning on raising the rear fender up to almost to the body line to drop the body down on the chassis. you would have to section the bed of the truck upwards (which I don't mind doing). as I look at your build, i might section the fender so the lip of the wheel well sits low but raise the top piece to the body line and fill in the rest with styrene. this would give you a bigger fender in the rear which I feel is more aggressive. like some of the pro mod trucks out there.

just my .02 cents, great project, I will be watching...... may just have to pull my LRE truck out and fiddle with it......

Tubbs i do like the look of drag trucks but this one started as a street truck so i went with the raked look. If i do another it will be flat but the bed will def require a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH ton of modifying. I can say this thing got outta hand real quick.

Thanks bill this is my first scratch built truck and so far i've learned alot and had alot of fun doing it. I still dont know if im going to do the lil red express colors or the sublime lime with the shadow hood.

HAHA.... welcome to the club baby!!! the rake looks great, just stay focused on it. I imagine its like that with all builds, but pro street is real tricky... just a little more here, and a little tweek there..... I have a simple back half 62 Pontiac pro street going that has been tore down twice and turned into a full blown race car, next step is a tube chassis for it..... don't even want to go there... neverending keep on pushing....

Really enjoying and will be watching this build as I have one also on the go. To get mine lower I removed the fenders from the tray with my knife and then mounted them higher up on the bed. I then extended the lower portions of the fenders to meet up where they originally stopped. This way I was able to remove more of the bed to get it nice and low.

Well guys after a long long hiatis shes finally back on the build table. As for right now im in the process of fabing up the turbo headers for the boosted small block. left side is done, right side needs final trim down. Now to find some decent turbos to toss on it.
