bogger44 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Super sharp build, Gary. You've done this one justice, not a bad kit considering it's age. I also built one in Prairie Bronze with a tan interior, as an R-code 427.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Tulio that is a beautiful Galaxie I wish I could get my paint that shiny, but yes the color was a lucky choice its actually a Vauxhall UK color, actually looking at your photos I can see a couple of things I didn't do quite right, like the chrome trim around the base of the roof at the rear and the black highlight in the tail lights. I will correct those. Thanks Gary!! On my Flickr page I have lot's of Galaxie pictures, you can use them as reference. Your car looks great!!!
unclescott58 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 I did one exactly in the same color as yours a couple of years ago. Using the same Testors paint. My ended up looking kind of dry and flakey. No where nice as yours. I've had a lot of troubles with Testors paint and have switched over to using Tamiya. With a little Future floor wax my '65 looked OK. So I have no plans on redoing it in the near future. Great color for that car. Scott
