james460 Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 I've been looking for that same spoiler for year and haven't been able to find one. If you do please let me know.
Sport Suburban Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Greg, I have been wanting one of these also. Is anyone mastering one? If not maybe I will when I get back to my build.
Greg Wann Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Hey Raoul, If you could muster a master, I'd getter and caster. LOL Say that three times really fast!
triplelindy Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Hello, Mikes scale speed shop makes that Ducktail spoiler. wwwmikesscalespeedshop.com . I picked one up about 2 years ago.
Bob Ellis Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Is that a GTO aftermarket spoiler? I don't remember them.
Modlguy Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 Doesn't look like Mike has it in his inventory any more. But thanks for the response.
triplelindy Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Bob, it was an option very early and then it taken off the option list. I have read that only two were made. I have it in one of my Musclecar Review mags. If it is not being cast by anyone, I would let mine be used for a mold. If anyone wants to let me know. Mike Short 248-635-6960. I just dont want to step on any bodys (resin) toes.
Chief Joseph Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Doesn't look like Mike has it in his inventory any more. But thanks for the response. ? According to this page, he has 3 available for purchase. It may not be up-to-date info, though. http://mikesscalespeedshop.com/?p=31827
Chief Joseph Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Would the ducktail fit a 69? Not in real life; it would fit the straight decklid of the 70-72 models only.
Modlguy Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 ? According to this page, he has 3 available for purchase. It may not be up-to-date info, though. http://mikesscalespeedshop.com/?p=31827 I e-mailed Mike and he does have three left. Well, two now because I ordered one. Thanks for the heads up.
triplelindy Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Make sure you check out his decals. I bought a set of his Mopar set for New and Vintage Challenger. $18.00 but a steal at that price when you see what comes in the set.Interior gauges and all of the woodgrain trim. So many exterior and under hood decals. Engine call out , air cleaner decals. You wont believe what you get in that set. I am trying to learn to post pics, if i ever learn I will post them.
Greg Wann Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 For posting photos I am able to upload direct from my pictures file on my computer.
VRM Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I scored the last '72 spoiler. Thanks for the heads up about it being available! I was going to do a '72 in gold, but the MCW paint did not really seem all that metallic and it looked kind of blah. I'm now going with orange, honeycombs, and a white interior. Have to reconfigure the exhaust to exit the rear sides, but otherwise it should be a fairly low effort build. Steve
Modlguy Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 I e-mailed Mike and he does have three left. Well, two now because I ordered one. Thanks for the heads up. Received this part today. Talk about fast service. Also got a stinger hood for the new Camaro. Both pieces look great. Thanks Mike.
Greg Wann Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I am really happy it all went well for this parts search.
The70judgeman Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Wish I would have seen this post a lot earlier. Although I do have the GMP 1/18 red '72 GTO with the duck tail.
