om617 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Hi What type of paint/color do you people use for the frame on woodies? The frame on the body you insert the woodgrain decals to be specific. I would have to order it so if anyone can be specific about make, number etc i would appriciate it. Red arrows on the picture to illustrate what i`m searching lol
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) Look at Art Anderson's recent thread on doing a Merc woody. His colors are about the best I've ever seen, and he explains the process. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86997&hl=+mercury%20+woody Edited May 6, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy
Art Anderson Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Sounds advanced but thanks for the link. Actually, it isn't all that "advancec"! If one breaks down what I did on my Mercury Woodie--everything there is either as simple/basic to learn or something you probably have already done at some point on a model car. Feel free to PM me, I can guide you step-by-step. Art Anderson
om617 Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 Thanks for the offer Art,very kind of you. I might do that later on when it`s ready for paint.
