bbowser Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Great model and back story. I love seeing the lower trim models being replicated.

cobraman Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 Thanks guys. He received it on Saturday and loves it. The side mirror got broken off ( no big surprise ) but it was in the box and he was able to reattach it. He put it on his mantel. So he says.
Slammed1 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Great build on the car for resin body. I have also wanted to get a 66 Biscayne resin kit myself and build it replicate my 1:1 66 Belair. I build 1/18 diecast also and have almost 20 Ertl 66 Biscaynes in diff color combos,stances,wheels/tires and drivetrains.
cobraman Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Thanks Brian. I thought about buying one of those 1/18 diecast cars but they were going for pretty good money on ebay ( 70 to 125 ) when I was looking. With the changes I had to make I thought the resin kit would be easier to do and cheaper to boot. As it was with all the stuff I bought it still cost me over 100.00 to build. Now I think I will try and replicate his first car which was a 64 Impala SS convertible. No kit for that either but I will just hack the roof off of the hardtop kit.
