Another winner, Chuck! Seems that you and I appreciate the same things when it comes to old Fords... :)

If I remember correctly, this truck might have been equipped with a 460 from the factory. That would have been the 350+hp, large-port-head version built before Ford neutered the 460 with small-port heads in 1977-78... Although... a 390 or 428 would fill the bill nicely, as well... Either way, you can't go wrong. Having owned several 360-390 equipped trucks, they definitely are an underrated motor.

I got the same thought when I first seen the picture . great job on the truck paint and clean job . I would put bigger rubber on it if mine . thanks for sharing . clay

I was seriously considering buying a '75 SCS with a 460 a few years back- that's one of the reasons I'm leaning toward going that route.

The 360 and 390 engines are underrated, especially the 360, though.... ever notice how every 360 seems to magically become a 390 when the guy wants to sell the truck? :D

That and nobody sent them the memo that the SCS was discontinued after '77. :D Ah, the stuff model kit manufacturers could get away with in the '70's!
