rustybill1960 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Jim, this is a very refreshing build! Your choice not to chop it, very cool indeed! I like your engine detail and those rear fenders! Was it from the kit or something You did? Very clean and sharp! Thank You for sharing Later Russ
crazyjim Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Thanks Russ. The bottom half of the engine are from the kit while the intake & carbs are resin from Crazy Scale Auto Parts. The rear fenders are Evergreen sheet.
Lunajammer Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Now that' something you don't see every day. Good work and some nice choices.
Harry P. Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Very cool! And I like the unique rear end treatment. From all I've seen, this is one of your best models, I'd say.
DeeCee Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 What a very cool build Jim, and i also thank you for NOT chopping it, great job mate.
crazyjim Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Thanks Dale. A top chop NEVER entered my mind.
crazyjim Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Thank you Dave. Spyder wheels are my casting and the huge rear tires are from The Parts Box. I don't like them because they're hard, but they are BIG.
GasPunkAlley Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Jim, looks cool! What parts did you use for the rear fenders? I found in my stash an AMT Tall T and MPC's Black Jack T.
crazyjim Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 The rear fenders are Evergreen sheet, Rod. I bent and shaped the pieces to the body and CA glued them on. After a thorough drying, I used a Dremel and sanding sticks to the curve I wanted.
