haro85 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Does anybody have any good ideas on how to create the heater hose bracket that was found on most GM cars in the late 60s? It attached to the passenger side inner fender and held both heater hoses out of the way. Pictures would be great. Kevin
1930fordpickup Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Masking tape might work. Just paint it black. A small piece of a soda can painted black. Just trim it up and bend around two small nails side by side.
my80malibu Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Sometimes I use the Photo etched surround of PE detail sets to fashion a strap trapping both hoses together. Chrome/Aluminum flashing tape works well too.
espo Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Do you have a Michele's or Jo-Anns near you ? I have used items from their jewelry department. They carry many gauges of wire. They also have something that looks like a straight pin with a loop on the end. You can cut off most of the straight part. Use that to glue to a small hole drilled to the inner fender and run the heater hose thru the loop. The loop can be easily bent or reshaped as need be. Hope this is of some help.
