Wonderbread Kustomz Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 In between working on the Ford C600 and the Aerosedan, I wanted to do a fun little quick build... This was started last summer, but I lost interest in it due in part to unsure of what direction I wanted this build to go and door fitment issues... Well, I've been slowly unpacking since we moved into our new home and I found one of my trailers I built that came from the 76 Caprice kit... So since the trailer looked lonely, I figured I'd do a rusted junker... This will be complete with ( I mean incomplete) missing doors, engine, and interior components such as seats... Anywho... Here's a few pics... I've stripped some chrome, and raided the parts boxes for wheels and tires...
JTalmage Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Cant wait to see what you do to this one! I have the same kit (I think)
Del Austin Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Looks like a cool project. One thing to consider is that the grill shells on 30 and 31 model A's were polished stainless steel so you may want to use some metalizer or Alcad on the shell and avoid adding any rust to that part.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 Thanks guys... Yea, I was planning on re painting the shell with a metalizer.. I needed to strip that chrome off first though... Armed with a spray bottle and salt shaker...
1 bad55 stan Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I'm liking this already,Rust is cool(on scale models).I will be watching...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 Mockup to see how it looks so far...
DynoMight Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 James, just email the pictures to yourself as a attachment and download them and use the forum pic loader. Works amazing.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 I tried doing that, but it says the pics are too large... I'll get it figured out tomorrow...
GMCMAN52 Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Love Model A's. Can't see the pic's...must just be me......
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 Let's see if this works... Try tinypic.com that one should work for sure. Glenn, thanks brother!
JTalmage Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Seeing that pic of the '40 delivery in the back inspired me to keep mine instead of trading it... I could never think of what to do with it until I saw that roof chop!
GMCMAN52 Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Now see the rust, great job on making it like real
DynoMight Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 No problem, photobucket can be stupid sometimes...
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 This one is going under glass...
