I shot some primer on the cab and started smoothing all of the splices before replacing the rivets that were sanded off. After a few coats, and some 400 grit, I got it about where I want it.

I was going to drop a 250 Cummins power plant under the cab, but Im at a stand-still with casting. So with my resin engine not ready, I decided to build a 350 Cummins. To keep it line with the attitude of the truck, Im making it a twin turbo. Its not going to be a true NTCC 475 TT, but whose counting? I hooked them together using cut up bends from Detroit dual exhaust. Just a little extra touch.

do you know around abouts what year the twin turbo would have come out?

do you know around abouts what year the twin turbo would have come out?

I dont really have any solid info, but the earliest year truck Ive found one in was a 1970 Pete. Ive seen more 80s model Petes with them. Theres a video on youtube of a 71 Pete with twins and it sounds pretty wicked.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Heres where I started striping, and masking it. I tried a different shade of red, and hated it. So its back to the old trusty red, and now Im happy.

This paint has been fighting me EVERY step of the way. My masking ripped off a few of my rivets, and there have been plenty of other flaws. I amost put this in a box to come back to it in a few years, but I really want it done for Sept.Heres it finally looking like something, but I still have sone touch ups to do.
