ianguilly Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I was looking around online for vintage models, and the thought hit me, I don't recall seeing a dart kit offered for the years 1970-1974. La dart is close but no stock dart is able to be built. Am I missing them, or did the duster overshadow the dart?
1972coronet Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I was looking around online for vintage models, and the thought hit me, I don't recall seeing a dart kit offered for the years 1970-1974. La dart is close but no stock dart is able to be built. Am I missing them, or did the duster overshadow the dart? The only "Dart" (or , 'A'-Body Dodge) that was produced in stock form between 1970-1974 was the coveted MPC 1971 Demon 340 annual . No two door hardtops ( "23" bodystyle ) were produced , other than the aforementioned "Wild Bill" Shrewsberry L.A. Dart , the Ramchargers Funny Car , and the recently-reissued "roundy-round" dirt track '70 / '71 Dart . We , the builders , the enthusiasts , have been crying for absolutely decades about the lack of factory-stock 1970-1972 Darts ! ( personally , I'd like to see a 1971 "LL23H1R" : the Canadian-market , 340-powered Swinger Special . They were again built for the 1972 model year. They.Are.Rare !)
unclescott58 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 The basic answer, other than what's been noted by Mr. Shoe, is NO. We need a Swinger or two. Scott
