disabled modeler Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Can you imagine how much fun it was to build these cars....and drive them?...LOL...
Custom Hearse Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Why would anybody do that to a couple of 59 Cadillacs? Really?
Austin T Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I think most people are forgetting a very important thing that was briefly mentioned earlier in this thread, The trailer in the first post is fake.......Let that sink in for a minute before the bashing of a movie without a real trailer continues....
JTalmage Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 In my opinion that double cadillac is a little too standout-ish to be a hero car. Needs to be more subtle... like Max's interceptor of course.
Austin T Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I figured we would get a glimpse of the movie at SDCC and we got the first OFFICIAL trailer so far. This is going to be interesting..
ChrisBcritter Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 As I was saying, we really need a good '34 Chevy 5-window kit: And so you can examine the details, a few more frame grabs:
Longbox55 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 For a Post Apocalyptic Future, they sure seem to have plenty of access to rare vintage tin to make their equipment from!
Austin T Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 For a Post Apocalyptic Future, they sure seem to have plenty of access to rare vintage tin to make their equipment from! Tell me about it! Also isn't this suppose to be in the Australian Outback?.
JTalmage Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 aaaaaaaaaand the destroy the interceptor again. sonofa........
Austin T Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 aaaaaaaaaand the destroy the interceptor again. sonofa........ I know it's pretty heart breaking. Why can't the bad guys just gently steal the car and keep in it a garage til the end of the movie?
CJ1971 Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 It's an action movie, you have to take it for what it is. It's not going to win any Oscars, that's a given, but I bet it'll be far better than Need For Speed, which I recently wasted 1.3hrs of my life on. What a load of utter rubbish that was! ?? It just about plagiarised every car movie of the last few decades... & the script.... Drivel. Anyone who intends on watching it.... Use the mute button. Utter... Utter... JUNK.
Lownslow Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 aaaaaaaaaand the destroy the interceptor again. sonofa........ spoiler, it happens pretty early in the film
mnwildpunk Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 So this being a tweenquil so after the interceptor is. Destroyed he rebuilds it to be destroyed in the road warrior
Dave Van Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I could not figure out if the Falcon Interceptor was new or the same one.....but there were plenty of Falcon's in Aussieland....so Max could have built another......whatever I'm gonna see it first day....

Oh same here. I'm just hoping it got more screen time than Mad Max 1 and 2. Car deserves it. Supposedly it was to be based sometime after Mad Max 1, and Mad Max 2, but if the interceptor gets destroyed in this one, that leads me to believe this is more of a reboot than a movie to follow the original story line. But, in seeing the preview, it looks to me that its just a reimagination of Road Warrior/Mad Max 2... because many of the scenes and ideas look to be reimaged scenes from that movie... Interceptor being flipped and blown up... people being captured and strapped to poles on the front of vehicles... Max being the one to drive the semi truck chased by 100's of baddies... They've definitely given him a darker personality. Old Max wouldnt have killed the lizard like in the opening. Max was a damaged individual emotionally due to the loss of his wife and baby, but didnt harbor hatred for all living things and still had a soft side. He had Dog in Road Warrior... and the music box he gave to Feral kid. This movie makes it look like he just hates everyone and every thing. But, I could be wrong in my interpretation. We will see.
Ridge Rider Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I like it-the cinematography alone should make it worth seeing on the big screen. Plus the vehicles and real stunts - can't wait.
Austin T Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) I do agree that in the second one he had some heart left but still the ending scene of the first one was truly a breaking point. Still chilling to think about being put in that scenario, cut off a hand or burn to death. Edited July 30, 2014 by Austin T
JTalmage Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 "The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take ya 10 minutes to hack thru it with this..... if youre lucky, you can hack thru your ankle in 5 minutes......Go!"
Austin T Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) It's been a few years guys,cut me some slack. Edited July 31, 2014 by Austin T
Ridge Rider Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 In my opinion it was worth the wait. Dialogue and story, forget about it. The cinematography, setting, and action are worth the price of admission. I can see some serious kitbashing from this movie and I can hardly wait to see this movies influence show up here. One may be from me if the stars are aligned right.
