Superpeterbilt Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Hey guys, can anyone recommend a source for scale chain binders, D rings, and shackles? Im a little out of touch with some of the piece parts being made in various places. I have a big project going that I need this for. I realize I can make some of it, but time is a factor and the amount that I need, its just not feasible . Any help is appreciated. Also, Im looking for the D rings to be functional. I can rob some from my lowboy kits, but Im trying not to. Thanks in advance
tbill Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Ben Wicker [sp?], for the life of me, can't find the link in my list, but he is a member here and should have most of what you want.
Bennyg Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 KFS from the UK also has some chain binders etc. Ben
Petetrucker07 Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 http://bwicke9.wix.com/class-a-resin#! Heres the link to ben wicker. Your gonna like what he has Terry, much more than just the binders. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from him. It does take time, my stuff is 5 to 8 weeks out.
southpier Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Spalding Trading Post used to have that stuff. their website is up and running, but I didn't go further than that.
Superpeterbilt Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 Im going to give Ben a try. Hes got some nice looking parts. Spaulding doesnt really have that much stuff anymore. Thats a bummer, bc Ive bought tons of stuff from them over the years.
Petetrucker07 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Just remember terry, its gonna take a few weeks for your order to get in. I ordered rims, tires, fenders and some odds and ends. Bens a cool guy, i will do business with him again. At least he was up front about how long itll take for my parts. He didnt leave me hanging, and his communication is excellent, he answers emails within a day or 2.
Tesla Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 As Ben stated, KFS in England sells binders that are fully functional. Here's the link: http://www.kitformservices.com/photoetch.html
