Ain't it missing a front spoiler too?

It is missing the front spoiler. The VIN checks out to be a real Cobra R though. There's another one listed on eBay for a slightly higher price. It has the spoiler.

Why? Just to say you have a limited edition car? Add a little boost to another Mustang and do the same thing with air and the radio on.

I get it. Ford built 3 R models. My favorite is the 95R. Here is how I see it. I myself buy the svt products and have not had a gt since 95. Lots of people say " I could just throw parts at a gt and have a faster car". I like the value in the special models. I don't care what you do to your GT, at the end of the day it's just a GT...

95 Cobra R is my favorite too.

95 Cobra R is my favorite too.

My mom had a black 95 cobra R, she drove the wheels off of it. Luckily, we sold it before the tranny took a dump. ( keep in mind we told the buyer it would need a tranny in a few hundred miles, not telling him that would be a pretty low thing to do) Edited by Dragfreak

Edit: I talked to my dad and he told me that at the dealership they took a black cobra and turned it into a cobra R. The dealership ordered everything to convert it over from the factory so being dealership made, it's still technically a cobra R. It's the only black 1995 cobra R in existence, and the only automatic cobra R in existence. :)

which makes it not a Cobra R, it was just a clone. They were all white, and the blocks were serialized at the factory when built. If your Dad's block doesn't have the serial number, it's not and R. only 250 were made in '95. And just the fact that it was automatic, it's definitely not an R. That doesn't mean it wasn't a really cool car though.

True, although it's probably the closest clone in existence, the car was basically torn apart and gutted then rebuilt by the dealership matching everything that a true 95 cobra R had to a T. Although I was only 6 or 7 when I remember being in the car. I do remember that it was an animal on the street. They are neat cars for sure, I think they looked quite a bit better style wise than the new mustangs, but I'm a rather old school teenager so that doesn't mean a thing :)

By the way, thanks for the information, I'm not much into Fords but learning something new is never a bad thing.

I used to work on those cars right out of high school, about 12 years ago. They are very fun to drive.
