AceOfSpades Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 It's been almost 3 years since I completed last model. Now I got time and will to continue this amazing hobby and I decided to start working on 3 models at the same time, because this models are very similar with similar paints and parts. The models I'm working on are: Revell 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8, Revell 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8 and Lindberg Dodge Charger SRT8. All the parts were prepared for painting in the last couple of days and today some of them were painted with aluminum revell enamel 99. The body colors will be Brilliant Black Crystal Pearlcoat for Charger and Magnum and Plum Crazy Purple for Challenger. Sorry for bad pics taken with my phone. And while I wasn't building models I certainly was buying them Here is my Mopar collection to date  Best regards, Andraz
Mopar - D Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Andreas you named this right nothing like modern MOPAR. Looking forward to seeing your progress on these and your future ones. Let me know if you need any 1:1 pictures of the Challenger or Magnum.
slusher Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Mopar my favorite subject, looking forward to watching your builds...
AceOfSpades Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 Yesterday and today I managed to paint the interior with light and dark gray. All I have to do is make some corrections and add some details.
FullTimeHobbiest Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Lookin' good so far. Really diggin' the interior 2 tone.
CJ1971 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Good to see these! ? I've built all 3 ? Before you start colour paint make sure to test fit body parted etc... Especially the Challenger's engine bay... There have been issues with fitting correctly & also rear hatch door on the Magnum ??
AceOfSpades Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 I did a quick mock up of interior, body and chassis today and it looks like there are no fit issues Regards, Andraz
Mopar - D Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Andraz looking good. Are you going for factory stock colors ?
DynoMight Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Isn't it a wonderful feeling when everything goes together with no issues!? Great job..
AceOfSpades Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Andraz looking good. Are you going for factory stock colors ? Yes I'm trying to replicate factory colors as much as possible. I think that light gray should be a bit darker, but I'll leave it as is. As for the body colors I'm gonna go with brilliant black pearl for magnum and charger, and plum crazy for challenger.
AceOfSpades Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Can somebody tell me what are the colors for charger/challenger/magnum chassis. The instructions say semi gloss black but I'm not sure that's correct. I was searching for pictures and all I found was a picture of charger with chassis in body color. Thanks for your help!
AceOfSpades Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Andraz I will send you some real pictures. That would be much appreciated, thanks a lot!!
Mopar - D Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Andraz here are some from my Challenger and the Magnum is the same.
Mopar - D Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Here's some pictures under the hood too. Let me know if any more.
AceOfSpades Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Dan, thanks a lot for the photos, they'll help a lot You've got an awesome ride! I wish I could step into a dealership and buy or even see more of these cars over here...and for the price you pay for it (our Jeep dealer wants $116k for an GC SRT ).
TFchronos Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I'm really liking this build thread, lot's of Mopar action here. Great work, I'll be watching.
