Ace-Garageguy Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Ah, the roar of the grease, the smell of the crowd...
wayne swayze Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Great diorama! Nice to see Austin Powers could make it too!
GlueTube Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Good eye! It was the seventies......he seemed a natural fit. Regards Brian
GlueTube Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Ah, the roar of the grease, the smell of the crowd... And the crepes Bill, you forgot the crepes after all it is Le Mans Regards Brian
Belugawrx Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I like the dusty dirty look of everything Nice weathering I'm really happy they aren't dressed in glossy Saran Wrap Cool Cheers
GlueTube Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 Thanks for noticing Belugawrx, race tracks by nature are dirty and about the only thing shiny are the cars at the start. Flat paint, in my view is the only way to go for figure clothing. Unless you are wearing sequins or satin (trophy queens ) at the race track, dull and dusty is the way to go. Regards Brian
Biggie Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Really nicely finished dio! I like how compact it is, and still so much going on... bravo!
GlueTube Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Thanks Rok. I am not a an armor modeler but read Verlinden's diorama books for guidance. Regards Brian
crazyrichard Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 love it , i always find it facinating how a tiny diorama can look so good
Zarana-X Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Fabulous work on everything, including photography. Good use of the "campus friends".
GlueTube Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 You know your figures Zarana-X. I hope someday we 1/24 car diorama builders wil have a fraction of the figures to choose from that are 1/35 scale armor colleagues do. Regards Brian
