mariojr Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Hi guys, im working on a revells 69 dodge charger r/t. I just got into opening doors. My last build the doors were horrible and a poor attempt at door jambs. I did some research here on the forums and got some ideas for making better hinges and found very little on door jambs. My question is how would i go about doing a door jamb and the running board under the door. Do i just glue a flat piece of styrene for under the door and do i just shape the inside edge of the door then glue it on. Any help would be appreciated it. Thanks guys
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 The best thing to do is look at photos of the real car you're trying to model, and make what you see. google "69 Dodge interior" or "69 Dodge door jamb" for a start...
MrObsessive Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 As Bill mentioned, Google (and eBay Motors) are your friends when it comes to getting decent pics for interiors of particular cars. In a long ago started thread, I was working on a '59 Chevy Impala where I cut open the doors and had to make door jambs. It's quite a few pages long, but if you click here, this is where I get into cutting open the doors, and getting into details. Hope this helps!
mariojr Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Ok thanks guys. I just didn't know if there was a certain way to do it
