I remember when Mary Lou said
"You wanna walk me home from school"
And I said, "Yes, I do"
She said, "I don't have to go right home
And I'm the kind that likes to be alone

Do you think of that someone
When you hear that special melody?

I always stop and think of you especially
When the words of a love song touch the very heart of me.

Silhouetted in the back.

The memories are gray but man they're really coming back

I don't need to be the king of the world

As long as i'm the hero of this little girl

dug into the vault for this one....

Well Sherlock Holmes, Sam Spade got nothing, child, on me.

Sergeant Friday, charlie Chan, and Boston Blackie.

No matter where she's hiding, she's gonna hear me

Cause I'm gonna walk right down that street,

Like Bulldog Drummond because..................

this one didn't get as much airplay as most of their others, but I think it's one of their best. it is one of their album titles

It`s got to be you reading my letter

Not your hired hand

I don`t know how to say it no better

I love you and the band

Never heard rockin` like you could

Howling like you can

It gets me thinking of Johnny B. Good

But you know you ain't no man

This one might be something only the Southeastern members have ever heard...they were really big in North and South Carolina...but didn't make much of a splash anywhere else. A really good band live!

A millionaire looking for another million dollars, a poor man looking for one

Chain store owner looking for another store, a hungry man looking for a bun

I figured this one was way too obscure, it's Mother's Finest from the album Another Mother Further back in 1977- Piece Of The Rock

And these are still out there...

1 - Used to call me by my first name

Now you never even call me at all

Used to say I was your only flame

It was so simple I believed it all

2 - Have you ever been close to tragedy

Or close to folks who have

Have you ever felt a pain so powerful

So heavy you collapse

3 - Don't go far, circle close

The Father Son, the Holy Ghost

To the Trinity I raise a toast

Ahh yeah!
