"Driving faster in my car,

Falling farther from just what we are,

Smoke a cigarette and lie some more,

These conversations kill,

Falling faster in my car"

I thought that might be it..... but I thought it was "one of these days, i'm going to dance with Tosiba"........ OK, stop laughing, never a huge Floyd fan.

You should open your ears to "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" (1967) , "A Saucerful of Secrets" (1968) , and some of their other early releases .

Sitting in your front yard drinking lemonade. Suburban life, pretty wife, think you got it made. But, you don't know what's in store for you and your family (haha). I'm moving in right next door, won't you welcome me?

The Four Seasons... I think it's called "Oh, What a Night" but not really sure of the title.

"Late December back in '63, what a very special time for me, as I remember, what a night" or something like that. I can hear the song in my head, just don't know the specific title.

Yep.

Lonely in my bed

Then I heard a voice beside me

And she softly said

"Thunder is your night light"

We'll teach him what we learned

Ah yes, just what we learned

We'll dress him up warmly and

We'll send him to school

It'll teach him how to fight

"Lonely Boy", by Alan Gold

Let's try this one:

"To think that only yesterday,

I was cheerful, bright, and gay,

Looking forward to, but who wouldn't do,

The role I was about to play... "

"Out on the street I was talkin' to a man,
He said 'There's so much of this life of mine that I don't understand',
You shouldn't worry yes that ain't no crime,
Cause if you get it wrong... "

"How can it be permissable,

She compromise my principle (yeah, yeah),

That kind of love is mythical,

She's anything but typical...

She's a craze you'd endorse,

She's a powerful force,

You're obliged to conform when there's no other course... "

(LOVE the video!)

Right, yep, and correctimundo! As far as "Undercover Angel" goes, Ienjoy a lot of those 1970's "Top 40" songs, and plan on posting a bunch of them myself over the next little while. Nice catch on the Gerry Rafferty song. It wasn't one of his most popular, but I consider it one of his best.

all the greenery is comin' down, boy
And then your wife seems to think you're part of the
