Jaguar man 21 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 It got this kit cheap at micahels, I have had the photo etch set for it for a while now but I have not had the kit to use it. I plan on building it as close as I can to a perfect factory replica. I must add it is going to be my first time trying photo etch so wish me luck.
Jaguar man 21 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 I started some painting and body work
Bennyg Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Love the audi r8. Will be watching to see how the photo etch goes. Cheers. Ben
Jaguar man 21 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) Thanks Ben I'm going to try my best there are some parts missing form the pe like the brakes and some other small pieces my two paint ideas I really like the white with black wheels on the r8 Edited September 2, 2014 by Jaguar man 21
slusher Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Never seen a work in process on this kit, very interested in watching your build..
CJ1971 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I've built this kit as well as the Spyder version. If you've glued that rear fascia to the body already you're going to have major problems getting the chassis underneath it, without snapping it ( rear fascia ) off.
tbursaw Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 This is going to be a great kit to watch! Be sure to keep us updated id love to see how it turns out. Have you ever thought about doing a matte murdered out r8 I have to say it's a really sexy look for the car or a charcoal grey that's also a really nice color
Jaguar man 21 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 I'm not a fan of mudrerd out cars I think there very ugly
tbursaw Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I'm not a fan of mudrerd out cars I think there very ugly have you decided what colors you are going to do I really like that white and black panda combo. Any new work done on the kit? Post some pictures
freakshow12 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I like these. My ford dealer owner has a blue/black one that he keeps with his 2 ford GTs as company
Jaguar man 21 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Nt yet tyrell my first job is to sort out the warped chassis
Bennyg Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Black is the new chrome and white is the new black. I like the white body on black wheels. Looks tough. Ben
