jjsipes Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Has anyone ever done a correct body for the 67 Dart Funny Car that the Ramchargers ran? I have been able to find is a 69 Dart Funny car. Even the old mpc kit I believe was a 70 dart which wasn't correct then.
Daddyfink Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 To my knowledge, no. Most of the bodies out there are re-pops of the Charlie Allen Dart. The Rams Dart was a weird bird and to make it accurate, quite a bit would have to be scratch built. I am surprised that someone like Speed City Resin has not done one. But, you never know!
1972coronet Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 The 'real' Ramchargers' 1967 Dart F/C was based-upon an assemblyline body ! Its body was all metal ; its roof was fibreglass , IIRC . That transitional period between F/X and F/C ...
Mike Kucaba Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 And It was also narrowed quite a bit, hence nick named Skinny Dart. I may have an article about it somewhere. did narrow a resin body years ago, but the rest of it was rather unique for me. It was similar to the LWR in that the drive line came out on sub-frame. This is all from a 65 Y.O. brain who celebrated the freedom of the '70's so be kind.
