Albert Wallace Jr. Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 My old '56 Ford "street gasser"? was a fun project. Try and get pass the "slicks-on-the-street" look. I couldn't find any street tires big enough, to fill the radius fender wells. The wheels and tires are from my parts box. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I painted it "Testors" Orange, with several coats of "Clear Gloss Pearl". The hood scoop is from my parts box, I think it's from a Mustang kit. Hosted on Fotki Interior shot shows the Ivory, and light Tan tu-tone. I mixed up some "flocking" to better match the interior colors, and some BMF for detail. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Engine bay Hosted on Fotki Here is the finished model, sitting at..."The Mission" ( a school project my nephew gave me, thinking it would help my models look neat. What do you think ?) Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Albert

Raul_Perez Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 I really like the color!! With that car, all your diorama needs is a Christmas tree for staging the lanes!!
ramonesblues Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 These old Vic's make wicked gassers. I built one when the kit first came out, with a thunderbolt style scoop.I wish i still had it. yours looks good with the '55 Merc tail lights.
