MikeBoyle Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 First I'd like to thank Marc Nellis. He hooked me up with a replacement body after I destroyed the first one and he graciously sold me the custom decals that made this build come together. Thanks again Marc! Paint is Testors One Coat Revvin Red over White lightning. Wheels are Aoshima 19in Kranze LXZ's painted Tamiya Gunmetal. Interior is a combination of the kit tub and dash with the seats and modified door panels from the Revel Civic. MikeBoyle Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 Thank you for the kind words. Its far from prefect, but I'm happy with the way it turned out.
fantacmet Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Nice build. How did you mount the wheels? I've never had success mounting Aoshima wheels to American kits before.
Jade043 Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Looks sweet! Like the modern engine implant.
MikeBoyle Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 Nice build. How did you mount the wheels? I've never had success mounting Aoshima wheels to American kits before. To mount the wheels I just took the little rubber adapter pieces that come with the wheel sets and drilled them a little larger so they would fit the kit wheel mounting locations, then just super glued them on.
