Car Man Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) I will be making Peterbilt 378/357, 388, 389, 367, 365 hoods and a cab in 1/25 scale. I know that there is 1/24 scale versions out there but if your like me and only like to build in 1/25 scale your in the right place. The hoods and cab should be up for sale before Christmas of 2014 Edited November 23, 2014 by Car Man
Petetrucker07 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I would. I have 1s for 1/24, both 379 and 389. It would be cool to have someone offer hoods. There are a few out there makin 379 total conversions for 1/25.
Jim B Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 In addidtion to the hoods, you would need the proper 1/25 scale cab.
Guest Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I know that there is 1/24 scale versions out there but if your like me and only like to build in 1/25 scale. What's wrong with 1/24 scale? In addidtion to the hoods, you would need the proper 1/25 scale cab. I don't think he realized that....
Car Man Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) Anthony and James ... Guys I ask if you would buy a hood , not to pick me apart. Give your head a shake Edited September 15, 2014 by Car Man
Guest Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Anthony and James ... Guys I ask if you would buy a hood , not to pick me apart. Nobody is picking you apart, just bringing something to your attention. Don't ask the question if you're not going to like the answer
Jim B Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Definalty "picking you apart". Like Anthony said, just bringing something to your attention. While 1/25 scale modern Peterbilt hoods would be nice, they won't work with the Revell USA, AMT, or Revell of Germany Peterbilt 359. The good part is, most of the hoods you mentioned use the same newer cab. So one cab & multiple hood options.
Car Man Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 but your "answers" were like your talking about me be behind my back and yes a realized that you need a cab witch i was also going to make if people would buy the hoods
Car Man Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 How many of you out there would buy a resin Peterbilt 378/357, 388, 389, 367, 365 hoods and cab in 1/25 scale. I know that there is 1/24 scale versions out there but if your like me and only like to build in 1/25 scale. The hoods and cab are not built or molded yet because I wanted to know how many of you would buy one before I start making them so I don't wast my time and money. is that better?
Jim B Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I do prefer to build in 1/25, so I guess depending on the price I might be up for one or two.

Truck parts Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I would be in for 2 of them if the cost is right.

highway Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 There is one not on the list I would be on like white on rice, the 386.
Car Man Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 (edited) white rice and peterbilts = %100 Edited September 23, 2014 by Car Man
Petetrucker07 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 There is one not on the list I would be on like white on rice, the 386. If you get a italeri 377, Dave at AITM has the the conversion. He even has the side fairing But a 386 in 1/25 would be really cool

The frame, engine, and sleeper would be about all the 377 could correctly donate.

The BMF and Tamiya clears just don't do it justice... I do not say this to offend, as my talent is no where near Tim and Dave's. David
Car Man Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 hey David would you buy a hood or cab
Chris guthro Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I say a 389 in 1/25 would be a hugeeeeee seller!! The frames are fairly similar I'd imagine!
Car Man Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) hey thanks Chris a little update: i started making the masters for the hoods and also started on the cab Edited October 7, 2014 by Car Man
