Hey, Im bobby im 18 and just built my first model car! What have i been missing in my childhood!! I love building them so far i started with the Revell Shelby Mustang GT 350 H! It has had its difficulties like getting the windows in without either the paint coming off from outside or glue smear on window.. I have seen on here many tips i will be trying for my next car i have already bought. The 1970 Mustang Boss 429! I hope to do better with this one with the tips and such. If any of you have tips for beginners about building it let me know! thanks yall hope to see you around the forums!

Welcome to the forum Bobby..!

My best advice... Patients... take your time... let paint dry, let glue set....

if it needs to sit, let it sit, and work on other parts in the kit... and make it a fun hobby...!

Welcome to the site Bobby

On your windows Testors has some glue for clear plastic however Elmer's glue works well.

If the windows mount to the inside of a model use a small strip of masking tape to hold it in place then run a small bead around the edge's let it dry all day OR overnight whatever works for you then hold against the window and remove the tape after it dries.

Using a tooth pick to spread the glue keeps it clean also.

Windows that mount on the outside just spread a thin bead around the edge, tape it in place with a small strip of masking tape and let it dry.

I use Elmer's on all of my lights also it dries clears and holds well.

Hope this helps.

God Bless
