Chris guthro Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Here's my amt western star, stretched the frame out and added a plaskit Hendrickson 72" spread. Made a n14 look a like. Spoked rear wheels. And logging head ache rack
redneckrodder Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 should be a mean lookin stick hauler...great start
dieseldog1970 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Nice start!!! Edited October 1, 2014 by dieseldog1970
Jim B Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I agree, nice start. How are you going to extend the rear of the frame?
Chris guthro Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 I'm not going to extend the rear I already lengthened it out for the rear suspension
truckabilly Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Yeah, but if you are going to build a logger, you need to extend the frame behind drives. Or add a stinger. Otherwise the trailer won´t steer properly. Or do I miss something? I like the wide span of the drives though.
Chris guthro Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 It's hopefully going to be for a log trailer, like maybe a tri axle 3 bay
Chris guthro Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 Little update made flaps for the Alaskan hauler bunper! Stickers I found from work and sheet plastic.
freightshaker Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) With that bumper and that spread axle drive you're gonna have a tough looking unit. Off to a good start! Edited October 10, 2014 by freightshaker
jay1968 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Very nice start and cant wait to see the finished project!!!

disabled modeler Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I have always loved this kit....just something about older trucks and spoke wheels...cool.
Kostas Parchas Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I like the spread, it adds to the overall look. Kostas.
