JTalmage Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Looking for some inspiration... and with Ollie's selling these things off cheap I find it really hard to resist them... but I know how old/outdated/fiddly the kits are and how poor the tooling was and don't expect much when I open the boxes.... That being said... Let's see what kind of masterpieces the rest of you have turned those Tall T, roadster and truck kits in to! I'm very tempted to pick up quite a few of them, and use them as a basis for learning how to build scratchbuilt hotrod frames, body channeling, and using leftover speed parts from all the old Round2 double kits and a mix of aftermarket resin stuff to make some sweet hot rods.
Greg Myers Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I'v done a few, I like the truck kits best. Sadly mine are all in parts again, waitin for that rebuild. Good basis for fun builds, use your imagination.
Draggon Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 These arent model A's, were they what you were referring to?
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) The channeled and sectioned '32 truck could make a knockout model on a decent chassis. Draggon's looks great as-is, though. Very nice. The roadster-pickup is shaping up nicely, too. 'Course, the Tall-T isn't an "A" either, being a "T". Here's one from "rocketwheels" on the Coffin Corner 2 site... And this "1929 T Rod" isn't a '29, because in 1929 Ford was building the model A. Edited October 6, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy
Greg Myers Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 So to answer your question Jesse, grab what you can.
