Nick W. Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 How easy was the chassis swap on the maisto carryall?
triplelindy Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 A lot of grinding in the front of the suburban and the frame.. The chassis length is right, you just have to make it fit. It was a messy swap (dremel) on the diecast. I cut the inner fender wells of the maisto chassis to fill the big gap in the rear. But it was worth all the effort. It is mostly done now.
Tom Geiger Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Very cool! I haven't seen any of these locally. I have a Walmart, but seldom has any of the 1/24, 1/25 diecast. I seriously need to get a few!
AzTom Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 I was thinking of trying the JF resin Suburban body on one of the 4x4 chassis
1959scudetto Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 looks quite good -I foundone on the Internet for about 19,00 $, but shipping for about 44,00 $ !!!
