addicted2modeling Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Ok, I painted the lower portion of bed after stripping the paint down, wetsand it and priming it. I did 3 LMCs and 2 wet coats. The problem is that i have a dull, kind of cloudy appearance in the paint. What should I do? Check out the pictures. I took them with my iphone 5s so don't expect a perfect quality out of them.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 It's from humidity, most likely. Shoot some clear over it and it might take away some fog. If that doesn't work then I'm buggered on help and you should ask some of the more "guru-ish" of plastiholics around.

addicted2modeling Posted October 18, 2014 Author Posted October 18, 2014 And what should I polish it with? If I have to use sand paper to do the polishing what grit must I use?
Longbox55 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 It's also known as "blushing". Since it's a metallic from what I can see, I would not suggest sanding it. Instead, get some polishing compound, and buff it out with a soft cloth. That should take care of it. make sure you get compound that is paintable if you're going to clear it after.

I'm gonna use Meguiar's Ultimate compound and yes you're right it is a metallic color from Duplicolor. It's the GM pewter metallic color.
