Any ktis ideal for NYPD SUV?

I have a couple of Revell Expeditions, a cop one and blinged up with chome rims. I do know the cop kit wheels are not right for a cop but not sure what is out there to replace with. They are on here as MU pulling horses boxes

All the other SUVs on here are much more modern, and i have no idea what have kits (i dont do die cast)...infact i dont know some of the names...

Pretty sure the earlier issues of the Expedition have the correct wheels - the aluminum directional style.

Looks like most are either Explorers or Escapes, neither of which are available in plastic. What you could do is use the Expedition kit, or one of the 90's AMT Explorer kits. It appears that the one Expedition in the pictures uses the stock wheels, which can be found in one version of the kit, or in the F150 kits.

Explorers? Don't let the lack of kits stop ya! Here's a few Maisto (if I remember correctly) Explorers in the dreaded die-cast. Take them apart and they are indeed models!

In the UK its expensive enough to send off for plastic kits, die cast is just stupid shipping.

Greenlight makes a new Escape in 1/43 and I've seen Kuga versions of it (the diecast) for the EU market, so you might be able to get one of those locally.

After 1/25th scale kit. Im doing a NYPD MU Expedition from the Revell cop SUV it. just filling in some sink marks on the bonnet and the roof bar holes

You can probably get away with slapping NYPD logos on any car/SUV/truck body type because NYPD has probably purchased one or tried one out sometime in the department's history.

Most of the older Truck Enforcement vehicles are Dark Blue, but newer units are white.

There are some ways to improve the police kit body, and here is what I have tried in the past. I stole the wheels and tires from an AMT F-150 XLT snap kit wheels since these are the correct version for most police packages. I have taken the interior and body from the custom kit to cut down on body fillings, but used the 4x4 chassis from the police kit to give it a different stance.

I have pondered turning the police kit wheels into 4x4 wheels, but nothing quite looks right. The Revell Impala wheel's center cap might work if you have that in your stash, but I have tried to resin copy some hubs from the Revell Dodge SVT but those just aren't right either.
