Ramfins59 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Great stuff Greg. I loved the stuff on Custom Cars and old Hot Rods. Thanks for posting the LINK... I saved it in my Favorites.
unclescott58 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Cool film. I love these sappy juvenile delinquent films from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. Some how the parents were always partly to blame in them. It also shows that kids were not always angels back in the good old days. Despite what we've been told. There were stupid and bad kids, and even adults back in the day. That's why movies like these were made. And working with teens like I do today, there are still some kids that do stupid and bad things. But like then, most of kids today are really okay. By the way, I found it interesting that these kids were being portrayed as being 16. That means they would have been born in 1930. My father was born in 1928. My mother in 1935. Makes one think. Kids defying there parents and other adults? We were told kids didn't act that way when they were kids. Obviously some did, or where did they get ideas for films like this. Like it's been said, "the more things change, the more they stay the same." And, "the good old days, were not always so good." This movie is no Rebel Without a Cause. But it's not that bad either. I will watch it again some day. Scott
southpier Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 (edited) I think that one was released under a couple of different titles. and wrongly credits Darryl (DWAYNE's older brother) Hickman as Dobie Gillis. Edited October 30, 2014 by southpier
unclescott58 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I kept expecting Andy Hardy to pop up. : ) Why?
cobraman Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Filmed like one of his early movies. I also wasn't serious. See smiley face ? Bad joke on my part.
