chunkypeanutbutter Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 I've gotten two packages so far that came in the bubble mailers, the brown ones, say about a third the size of a sheet of paper. Can I add my own labels on there, tape up the ripped open end of it, and reuse it?
chunkypeanutbutter Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 I wasn't sure because the post office has a lot of inane rules.
1930fordpickup Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 When you are shipping anything through any company make sure that you cover every bit of the former shipping label or bar codes . Do not their job any harder to track and deliver than you have to .
chunkypeanutbutter Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 I remove every piece that I can and cover up any markings on the box with brown paper.
1930fordpickup Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 The Post office has stupid rules because they get an address on mail like we got at our house back in the 70's . The Lemble kids Big farm house with a bus and a bunch of kids Ottawa Lake MICH Yes we got it , as we lived in a small town then and our Mail Carrier went above and beyond.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 I've seen the PO actually encourage folks to re-use shipping materials...as long as, like the guys above say...you cover every bit of prior information. The PO DOES frown on reusing specific PO-flat-rate items (like priority mail boxes) for NON-flat-rate posting. They will refuse a package in a Priority box for other rates.
