randx0 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Is anyone familiar with this series of books ? I saw one about photoetching and then discovered there are 40 + books in the series which cover all kinds of home workshop techniques .Just wondering If they are worth hunting down and which ones might be of particular interest to plastic automotive builders.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Excellent reference and how-to series. Probably well beyond the scope of the average modeler, but worth looking at for the more advanced guys. Wonderful stuff. Here's one source, and all 47 titles. http://www.teepublishing.co.uk/books/workshop-practice-series/
Aaronw Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Wow, I just had a look at that link, some really neat stuff.Randy thank you for asking this question, and Bill thanks for the link. I may be busy poking around in there for a while.
randx0 Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 I thought they looked interesting I just was wondering where to start.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Unless you have machine tools and want to do some serious scratch-building, I'd think the photoetch volume would be the most useful initially.
randx0 Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 I was thinking the same thing , also the soldering and brazing and maybe the measuring one . I bet the setting up a workshop has some good stuff .
