Superpeterbilt Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Craig - For some odd reason this truck really intrigues me Looks like a great kitbash project ! Jimmy Flinstone makes a resin 4 door Pete Unilite cab that you can occasionally find on ebay. I had a silly Peterbilt limo project going on with an extra long hood and a 56 Ford bed with a set of double hump rear fenders.
Petetrucker07 Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) Heres a Pete Limo. With a C16 and well north of a 1000 horse. This truck was built the Bothelo brothers out of Los Banos, Ca. They also built the slammed roadster 379 Pete. Edited January 11, 2015 by Petetrucker07
cappy625 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) now that's some wicked petes clayton! I would love to take that black and green one for a spin. I wonder what gear box is in that thing? I bet it has more than one stick in it. Edited January 11, 2015 by cappy625
Petetrucker07 Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Here ya go. Gets you the idea of what a ride would be like. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_BHE8z8xRUc
kilrathy10 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) Those ARE some pretty slick looking Petes, Clayton.......Here's what I found these while out driving around, last week.....Two KW's and two Petes.... I wish I could have gotten a better shot of those Petes, but I couldn't get back to the Hotel they were at without being late for my job..... Edited January 12, 2015 by kilrathy10
Kpifer2 Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) This truck is seen frequently in the thumb of Michigan. Makes me jealous every time I see it. Edited January 15, 2015 by Kpifer2
Force Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Cool trucks guys. Here are a few more from my trips to the west coast of the United States. This is Scrappers Racing's race hauler for Mike Salinas taken at the 2009 California Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso Raceway, Bakersfield Ca. A few more taken 2 years later at the 2011 NHRA Finals at Pomona Ca, More later.
Petetrucker07 Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 That truck looks awesome rollin down the freeway. I have a project planned kinda like it
Old Buckaroo Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 That truck looks awesome rollin down the freeway. I have a project planned kinda like it I got a frame and set of resin tanks that would be perfect for it !
Petetrucker07 Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 Do ya now. PM me what it would take for them to find a new home with me.
kilrathy10 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) That is a pretty awesome rig, Hakan.....Love how that trailer was painted to match....And Keegan.....How in the world does anybody get that many axles around town???? Awesome... Edited January 16, 2015 by kilrathy10
kilrathy10 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) Saw this guy off the highway on my way to a job.....No where near as spectacular as Hakan's find, but I keep finding orange trucks for some reason.... Edited January 16, 2015 by kilrathy10
Petetrucker07 Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 Keep your eye out for Reliable Transport. Jerry at modeltruckdecals needs some reference pics. Straight on side and rear shots. I keep lookin out but those guys hardly to take there 10 off, if there not at an event.
kilrathy10 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Aw, Man....I saw some just today at the truck stop down the street.....They also stop and hand out in this particular parking lot from time to time, too....I'll keep my eyes peeled....I'm sure I'll find one setting all by itself, soon....There's a Lamborghini dealership down the road a bit, too.....I'll hook him up as soon as I can....
Kpifer2 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Believe it or not that truck would handle like a dream in town. Just can't forget to lift your axles and drag some expensive rubber.
Force Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Saw this guy off the highway on my way to a job.....No where near as spectacular as Hakan's find, but I keep finding orange trucks for some reason.... Nice truck, moving van or car hauler?
kilrathy10 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Judging by the angled portion behind the king pin, I'd say a car hauler.....
Force Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 A couple more from Famoso Raceway Bakersfield Ca back in 2009. A cool GMC Crew Cab COE ramp truck. Don "Snake" Prudhomme's Dodge Hauler from the Hot Wheels days back in 1970.
Casey Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I was passing by Milwaukee Mack today, and snapped a few pics from the road:
Petetrucker07 Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 Judging by the angled portion behind the king pin, I'd say a car hauler..... Looks like that used to be a Reliable unit.
Petetrucker07 Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 (edited) Saw these today. Thought this was interesting. Its a custom hood with Pete headlights. It looks goofy with headlights mounted so high, might even be illegal. Edited January 17, 2015 by Petetrucker07
Mackvision Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Some nice pictures guys! Casey,i sure like the B-67 in front of Milwaukee Mack!..........................................Mark
Old Buckaroo Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 This 379 belongs to one of my neighbors, he hauls a lot of hay and cattle with it. You can hear that Cat rumbling up the road 10 miles away.
Kpifer2 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I saw this danger dodge at an elevator a few weeks ago. Looked to be rough but was still neat. Isn't one you're going to see very often
