I started with the Race Car hauler kit, but used the hauler body on another truck. I had an idea; shorten it, chop it, lower it, put '36 Ford hood side louvers in the truck hood, put on twin blowers and gasser style exhaust, 28" jada wheels, scratchbuild a stake bed using some ramp parts from an old Thrill Drivers '49 Merc kit, among other parts box goodies and eyeball engineering. This was fun to build, and i usually don't build trucks. Now I am planning some more..

I've got something like that in the "half finished" pile. The original idea was a single-axle drag truck, but the project stalled about a third of the way through.

Hey, Man....That IS nice.....Great use of old parts, too.....Truck modeling is very addicting.....I've got all sorts of models laying around, but I don't think I'll build anything other than trucks......Every once in a while, I'll build a car, but usually it's just part of a car hauler build or something......I hope you stay with it.....I can tell you, definitely, have some talent....
