Clay Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Ok so i thought that I would start a new model so i could document it on here. I got this because my father had one when he was younger. First off, this models part trees are made crappy and i have to trim alot of the parts and it included a part from a different make of automobile. I may be mistaken but I dont think that this is an optional front end for a GTO Not much to detail on the frame for this one. nor is there for the interior I think the engine is gonna be the best part of this. Gonna try to put these rear tires on it Gonna have to sand the body down after some dry time. Got a few runs.
ramonesblues Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Love the 70's style paint job. Can't wait to see it finished.
Clay Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) the anticipation is much appreciated. the plan is to try to make it a pro mod. And I have also realizede after smashing a model in my earlier experiences, that trying to build a model while pissed off is not a good idea. so I have stopped for the night, but here is a few pictures of what I accomplished tonight. I went out and put another coat of paint on the body and it turned out good, we will see what it looks like tomorrow. Edited January 30, 2008 by jones_clayton

Clay Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 (edited) Just thought i would post an update on the Goat. I messed up on the original tires I was gonna use but i did find some a little bit smaller. I am gonna try to put a stock car roll frame from a junk frame in it. Did a little mock up and I hope it looks good enough to under the under glass section on here soon I need to trim some more of the Wheel well Edited January 31, 2008 by jones_clayton

Guest rick r Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 (edited) I see one problem you're encountering... Dopey AMT used the chassis form the 70 GTO for this kit, too short, doesn't even come close to fitting! Try using the chassis from the Revell '67 chevelle kit as a replacement! Clay Posted February 6, 2008 Author Posted February 6, 2008 I apologize for not updating this thread. I just haven't been up to working on models lately. I will try to have some updates this weekend, as long as I can get my house cleaned up.
