Since it seems to be taking off in the car section. Us truck guys can do it, all in 1 thread. Post your builds that were completed this year, no matter when they were started.

Here is the 1st truck I completed. Lowered and shortened Revell snap Pete.

Here is my AMT DD freightliner, stretched, resin fenders, scratch fender mounts, pullin a cattle pot with accents to match.

Heres another Revell snap Pete. I built this for a buddy. It has aluminum stacks, lowered a little and a scratch visor.

This is the current reissue AMT Ca Hauler and AMT Fruehauf flatbed. All painted to match. This was a very fun build. Scratch rear bumper and visor. Revell front bumper and half fenders.

This is my 1st Moebius kit, the Lonestar and the 53 footer. This 1 really pushed my skills. But i figured it out. Its all painted to match with a bunch of BMF done.

The Ertl tri axle gravel trailer. I still have to figure out what truck im puttin under it.

Here is my 2nd go at the Ca Hauler with the AMT 40 foot Beaded Van trailer.Went for classic old school look with light blue, stripes, roof a/c, and Mercury sleeper from a Diamond Reo kit. I ended up giving this to my buddy. He really liked it.

Heres another stretched freightliner. This was built for buddy. Scratch stainless bumper and Revell rear bumper.

Im gonna call this the final finished truck for me of 2014. Its the AMT wrecker. Switched out the kit rolling stock for Moebius. Lowered a little to give it the right stance. Made some small cradles for the stuff on the wrecker body. Added aluminum stacks and drop visor.

Hey, thanks, Buddy....Yeah that KW was FUN!! Every time I walked in the garage, I had a new idea.....And everything I tried, actually worked......Too much fun...

Like i told ya on a different thread. Your gonna need a bigger garage.

Lol....I was just looking at a car modeler's thread where he posted 9 builds, and I marveled at what nine cars looks like versus nine trucks with trailers....HUGE difference in shelf space.....

Thats no joke. We cant just go to walmart and buy a curio cabinet. We need a hutch or wall unit.

Finished a whopping TWO this year...

^This one will end up with WFE graphics, which I finally got around to ordering a couple of days ago. I also see now that I never put the turn signals on the fenders, so those will be added later.

My short nose Diamond Reo might stand a chance at being finished this year, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Oh, yeah....I really like how you built and weathered that DR.....Just a superb job.....Looks so real.....And the quality work you put into your models shows.....2 builds of this quality ain't bad, Dude.....The only reason I'm able to get mine done so quickly, is that I don't plumb ANYTHING, and I developed ways of working on models while the "paint is still drying", so to speak.....Driving the percentage of making a catastrophic mistake way up.....A D D can be a weird motivator or inhibitor, depending on how you channel it...... Love your work, Chuck.....

And I don't know WHY I don't have one of those White Road Bosses, yet....

I guess "quality over quantity" has its place, but it seems like I accomplish very little for all the projects I have going on at any given time. I've got a running start going for '15, assuming I don't trip and take a tumble between now and then. :)

Clayton, for a guy who said he hasnt built in years, you sure have done some impressive work. My faves have to be your Cali Haulers. The FL cabovers are a close 2nd.

Jt, Ive never seen anyone crank out such clean trucks so quickly. They definitley contain an element of your own style. Id say my favorite of yours is the FL cabover with dromedary box.

Chuck, you made a cool looking Road Boss, which isnt easy but the Diamond Reo is my favorite. Its got enough character to be plucked from the shelf and turned into a real truck.

Tom that Road Boss is the one to beat. Thats one of my favorite long hood versions.

Wow, these are ALL good builds, Guys.....

I like those Autocars you have, Terry, but those 5 axle lowboys are really catching my eye.....I'd love to see some more shots of those.....I don't recall ever seeing a thread on either of those.....

And Tom, I gotta say, I really like that Prostar and 53'er......I remember you saying you used tin foil to cover the sides, and I think that may have been the modeler's tip of the year.....And that display case you got it in....MAN !!!!! :o Awesome work, Man....

Thanks Terry. I started building about a year and a half ago. I can lay down some decent paint jobs. I was a decent builder, a step above the "glue on the windshield", i love that term. But this forum has helped me greatly, from guys like yourself, Tom, JT, Sean, Chuck, a few Marks in there and way too many more. You guys bringing the issues to light with the corrections. All i can say is thank you, all of you. I know its just a hobby of glueing plastic together, but its a hobby that some are passionate about. Again big THANKS, and cant wait to see what we come up with next year.

Call me a glutton for punishment Terry, but Road Boss #2 is on the docket for next year.

I know the feeling. Ive only attempted one, and I shortened the hood. Im going to finish this thing in 2015 for sure.

Yeah Toms display is awesome. He even has display for the in-process stuff. Tome you really pulled off the KW and tanker. My tanker knocked me down but it may make its way back on the bench next year, at least parts of it. Terry your Brockway takes the cake for me. Its unique, and mostly, if not totally, you. All your parts. Thats awesome!

JT, the red beam trailer was included in my Brockway 361 thread. The darker red lowboy was started years ago and finally finished for a show this year. Ill take some pics for you and post them later.

Clayton, if I helped Im glad. And Im sure to most of us its gluing plastic, but its more than a hobby. Its a happiness, frustration, and sense of satisfaction that you cant get anywhere else.

Thanks man! Its got an Autocar frame, spoke rims, and cummins, and one of Daves tulsa winches, but the rest is me. Im not gonna lie, I like having it on the shelf.
