Pim Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I have decided to pull this stalled project off the shelf and build it into a tow vehicle when I get a trailer I will probably buff up the rear suspension to take the extra weight and do some mods to the engine. was going to lift it but decided to leave it as is. I don't know what wheels I will use and I am open to suggestions for colour as the current paint job is terrible and it will need a repaint.
FullPowerGarage Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 That stance, those wheels! Now some offroadbumper, done!
hjracing Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Great stance! I'll keep an eye on this one! What tire/wheel combo do you use?
Pim Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Thanks Dennis and Jamie, Jose, I used a set off aoshima wheels with tires from a f350 diecast
chunkypeanutbutter Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Do silver, or metallic red. Are you brush painting everything? It looks like it. I'd suggest spraying the body, it looks far better that way.
Pim Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 nah miles sprayingit is just that ihave given the body a go over with sand paper
chunkypeanutbutter Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I never sand my bodies on my cars. I suppose I need some better sanding films for it...
Pim Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 yeah finished the interior will get some pics up in the next couple of days weather hasn't being favourable
Pim Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 (edited) so I took Jamie's idea of making some off road bumpers and made one with some styrene rod, a tow hook and a number plate holder i have also started a winch for the front that's the thing that's red [url=http://s87.photobucket.com/user/volksrod1/media/scratchbuilding/DSCN0513_zpsfgjgq2if.jpg.html][ Edited March 14, 2015 by Pim

gatorincebu Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Brayden, This looks good thus far! What kind of trailer are you going to put behind it? Box or flatbed? Be Well Gator
Pim Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 Gator thanks for the encouragement i would eventually like to get the trailer from the 76(?) caprice amt kit but if you have any other suggestions fire away
Pim Posted August 1, 2015 Author Posted August 1, 2015 this is now done hopefully i will get a shoot done today and get it under glass as for the trailer i am going to eventually scratchbuild one as galaxie trailers are far too expensive or just get flatbed
