Clay Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Well I wouldnt call it a "custom" but when i was about 13 or so i glued a bunch of stuff to a silverado 3500 dulley street truck, since then i have been doing things close if not box stock. Maybe changed the engine or added some nicer wheels and tires.
Darin Bastedo Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 My most outrageous Custom to date is Barely 'Cuda. It started out as a parts box special, using the body from a Monogram '71 Hemi 'Cuda, The windshield upper body and interior From the Monogram Callaway Corvette speedster, and a whole lot of sheet plastic and superglue.
Southgate Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 I built this in the early '90s using a Revell VW, AMT orange blossom special, and other parts.

That is one COOL Cuda!

My first/outrageous was a 1/35 Tamiya Kublewagen painted metalic pink with a lorry engine from a Corgi diecast(1/43) The paint was a mix of enamel red/white and silver Then again I was about 12. I still rate this as my wildest John
Jon Cole Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 My "Way Out There" build would be the Centaur When the first "Batmobile" (can we say that?) movie car model was available, I told someone that I was thinking of building a custom out of it. They laughed... and that's all it took! The challenge was on. It's a blend of Batmobile, Pontiac Banshee, some stratch-building, and a Callaway Corvette windscreen was vac-u-formed and cut down. This was all done some time ago. I don't recall if it was before or after SAE's "Build a Bat******" contest. Thanks for reading.
