Another work in progress!

This is to finish matching our real life auto garage.

In true Model Cars Mag forum format, here is a mock up of the shell.

The only thing on this that I have done is the basic engine. I've been having fun getting used to my new airbrush. This is Alclad aluminum on a gloss black base.

Valve cover and oil pump are can painted Tamiya TS-29 semi-gloss black.

Oil pan.

That's all for now. This is a slow work.

Thanks everyone! Like I said, this is a slow work but I've been getting stuff done, just haven't been taking very many pictures.

I decided to repaint the valve covers to match the real engine. I don't know why the instructions say black!

Also a shot of the completed interior and top of engine bay. I am cementing that space up front as soon as I'm done posting this!

Another view.

Undercarriage. Exhaust is Alclad steel.

Rear suspension. Wanted to match our real life Mustang's orange Koni shocks and struts. :)

And exterior. I tried to match the Ford Torch Red color as best I could but this may be a bit too bright. We'll see. This is after two mist coats and a wet sand.

I've done this kit and let me tell you I hope you have better luck at getting the body to sit correctly on the undercarriage!
I ruined one kit, ended up building another, Still had problems, so I had to do some serious slicing and dicing to get it to sit correctly! Thing still looks like it is a 4x4!

More, slow work for the 'stang. I guess posted in memory of our real vehicle which was totaled in a not-at-fault accident in May.

Here she is that sad day:

And the model - all I've done is work on the wheels and more body paint:

As you might see, I'm having trouble with spider web effects on the paint finish. I'll just keep at it. And NOT use Testors clear coat!

Side note - I really want to be finished with these two cars because I want to start my Murcielago!!!

Accident happened no less than 1.5 miles from the house, on the way to work, with intent to put on new aftermarket suspension parts after work and through the weekend! Stupid woman tried to cut through traffic on an unprotected turn. Now we have a CR-V.

At least we still have the BRZ!!!!

OMG....I also have a CBR250R....nothing but acronyms in our garage!!!!
