ismaelg Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Green is my least favorite car color. Actually, I've done only 1 green car in my life, over 10 years ago. But if I decide to build a Quaker State sponsored race car (1988 Indy Porsche), what would be a good match for it? Thanks,
Brendan Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 When I built that kit, I used Testor's enamel small jar paint. They make kind of a bright green which is a pretty good match for the Quaker State Green. It matches the decals very nicely. Only problem is that it is enamel. Might also want to try Tamiya paint. I think it's X-15, which I believe is a bright green. It would probably work too. I'm sure somebody makes an automotive lacquer of Quaker State Green. MCW, I believe, also carries a green that would work. Hope this helps.

simonr Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I'm agree with Brendan. When I built this car almost ten years ago that's what I did. Here's a couple of pictures so you can have an Idea of what I did. For clear, this was one of my very first attempts with PPG urethane clear.
