Finally finished with the first model i've built in over 20 years. It's by no means perfect but my goal here was to re-learn the basic skills of model building and get back into the hobby. i learned a whole lot and more so with every mistake i made. This thing is loaded with mistakes but im keeping it that way as a reminder to avoid these things in the future and also as a base line to gauge my improvement on the next models.

But the folks here gave fantastic guidance and great support to make it that much better for the next one, so thanks to all for the help! Enjoy the pics and all comments are welcome.

SO.. after tinkering a bi with the camaro today i decided to build a work table / storage shelf for my models. Thing is i left the camaro sitting out on the dining table where my 2yr old son was having dinner. I walked back in from the garage to discover the camaro upside down on the kitchen floor with pieces scattered around it. Turn out my son decided that it was an airplane and not a camaro and wanted to see how far it would fly

I gathered all the pieces and did an assessment.. here's what it looks like now:

Go get another kit, maybe even the same one, now that you know many of it's pitfalls, it will probably turn out much better, and , would be good practice building up your skills.
